Tech Graduate Program

Delivery Hero’s Tech Graduate program offers Software & Data Engineering graduates a unique opportunity to jumpstart their careers in tech.

Our program provides a comprehensive learning journey and full-time employment, which allows graduates to be embedded in teams across our tech platforms.

For the 2024 September cohort, applications are due to open in May. Stay tuned!

Location

Are based in or have the right to work in Germany

Communication

Are proficient in written and spoken English

Collaboration

You have solid communication and collaboration skills

Degree

Hold (or will graduate from) a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field. Bootcamp grads are also encouraged to apply!

Code

Can code in at least one of the following: Golang, Java, SQL, Typescript, Reactjs/React Native

What we offer!

Not only does the program provide full-time employment, there are plenty of other things that will benefit your career journey!

Mentorship

You'll be assigned a mentor on your team who will guide you on your growth journey. They'll be a key resource and help you settle in to your first 6 months at Delivery Hero. Your team will be thoroughly trained to set you up for success and help you build your engineering toolkit.

Growth

We are building a comprehensive learning journey with curated sessions to help you develop your craft (both technical and behavioral!) You’ll work through a project in your first few months to allow hands-on application of the skills you gain through the program.

Connection

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to get to know your fellow graduates and the wider Delivery Hero community. We will provide information about Employee Resource Groups, company-wide events and more.

Fun!

We want the program to be a joyful time that you can look back on fondly throughout your career! We will host a number of social events including lunches, trivia nights, meet-ups and celebrations. Our aim is for you to walk away from this experience with great learnings *and* friendships.

Heading

Step 1 Recruiter Screening

You’ll meet with one of our recruiters for a quick chat (30 mins) where we’ll learn more about you, your motivations for joining Delivery Hero, and your alignment with our company values.

Step 2 Technical Interview

Next, you’ll meet with one of our engineers to discuss your experience with general technical topics for 60 minutes (as related to your specific skill set/background) and do a live coding exercise through coderpad.io. We’ll make sure to save ample room for your questions!

Step 3 Hiring Manager Interview

At this stage, you’ll speak with a senior member from our engineering teams. During this 60 minute call, you’ll be asked questions about your technical background/accomplishments, projects and technologies you’ve worked on/with, and your goals and motivations in this career path.

Step 4 Bar Raiser Interview

In the final stage of our process, you’ll be speaking for 60 minutes with another senior engineer from one of our various tech platforms. You’ll be asked to showcase your coding skills again and answer further technical questions. We may also ask about topics including how you prioritize work, tackle hard problems to deliver solutions, collaborate with others, self-reflect, show empathy, and more.
