Delivery Hero Campus Fest

Campus Fest is a unique company event hosted for the first time this year. The aim was to bring employees together to celebrate the diverse cultures and vibrant communities from across the campus.

We had an exciting evening featuring live music, performances from our very own Heroes, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and interactive workshops.

To celebrate our employees, we wanted to create an occasion for everyone to connect, share diverse experiences, and enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the heart of Berlin. This event was more than hosting an event for the Hero community; it was about celebrating with the community.

 By showcasing the incredible talents and unique performances from Delivery Hero employees, Campus Fest became a truly memorable experience that highlighted the creativity and diversity that make our company special.

Taking the stage

Performances included Latin/Pop band ‘Josito and the Kids’ fronted by lead vocalist Josito Hidalgo who performed hits in English, Spanish, and Portuguese! Josito also hosted the stage for the entire evening introducing new acts and keeping the crowd engaged between performances.

The Latin vibes continued with a traditional Mexican folk dance by the group ‘Folklore Mexiko’. The group was led by Aleida Romo, who took the stage with her fellow performers adorned in traditional Mexican clothing. They showcased two dances; one representing the state of Veracruz, and the other representing the state of Jalisco, which are two of Mexico's 33 states.

Plus there was acoustic performances by Muhammad Zarnab Intizar who showcased his vocal and guitar talents throughout the evening, with renditions of songs by Maroon 5, Atif Aslam, BSB, and many more.

Jennifer Nicholson a professionally trained opera singer,  stunned the crowd with her powerful operatic performances. Jennifer was accompanied by Thabata Mendes Carrion on the piano - it was a passionate performance that really captured everyone's attention.

To top it off, we had the brilliant Cansu Ergün who got the crowd pumped with her open stage dance fitness exercise. Many Heroes got involved and took over the stage with an impromptu exercise class!

The international flavours continued into the night, with food from all corners of the globe - from German bratwurst to traditional Punjabi Samosas, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 

Hot Fact!

Campus Fest took place on the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures soaring to 34°C! Our fan-making workshop turned out to be one of the most popular activities of the evening! Everyone was able to show off their artistic skills by designing their own unique paper fan to keeping themselves cool into the night. 

Our first Campus Fest was a great success with 1,200+ Heroes attending and enjoying the evening of activities and staying late well into the evening. We are excited about having even more fun  next summer…
