Women in Tech: 5 Stories of Growth, Leadership & #GiveToGain

Posting date: 22/03/2026

Women’s Month is a moment to recognise the people shaping our teams, our products and our culture.

Across Delivery Hero brands, women in engineering, product and data are solving complex problems, leading with purpose and creating room for others to grow too.

To mark the occasion, we asked five colleagues three questions: what achievement they are most proud of, which leadership principle guides them, and what #GiveToGain means to them.

Their answers are different, but a few things come through clearly: growth is built together, leadership shows up in everyday actions, and Delivery Hero is a place where people can stretch, learn and make real impact.

What recent achievements are these women most proud of?

For Victoria Perello, Principal Software Engineer at Glovo, the focus has been on building backend-for-frontend services and tools that help teams work better together. What stands out is not just the technical delivery, but the multiplier effect: reusable components, stronger knowledge sharing and faster iteration across the app.

For Florencia Gamboa, Principal Software Engineer at Glovo, one recent highlight was leading the integration with the Kaspi Super App. It was a project with tight deadlines and high technical complexity, but what made it meaningful was the way the team delivered it: through collaboration, trust and shared ownership.

For Kanchan Khatri, Manager, Software Engineering across foodpanda, foodora and Yemeksepeti, pride comes from how her team works as much as what they deliver. Her team has driven high-impact revenue and compliance initiatives across Tier-1 services, while building a culture of ownership, clear communication and end-to-end accountability.

For Pamela Nitsch, Principal Product Manager across foodpanda, foodora and Yemeksepeti, a recent point of pride is a proof of concept her team is developing with talabat. What matters most to her is the mindset behind it: delivering value quickly, learning from users and building on each other’s strengths.

For Gözde Sintürk, Data Scientist at Delivery Hero, the achievement is deeply personal and professional. After moving from engineering management into data science, she has contributed to machine learning initiatives across multiple countries, worked on causal inference models and explored how LLMs can support fraud detection through customer-submitted images.

Her story is a strong example of what growth can look like in a tech organisation that gives people room to evolve.

Which Leadership Principles guide them?

A strong theme across all five stories is that leadership is not just about titles. It is about how people raise standards, take responsibility and support others.

Victoria’s principle is Raise the Bar. For her, that means focusing on quality, paying attention to detail, sharing knowledge and helping teams do their best work. It is not about perfection. It is about care, consistency and setting high standards together.

Florencia and Pamela both connect strongly with Own It. Their perspective is clear: ownership is about seeing things through end to endstepping beyond your immediate scope when needed and creating clarity so work can move forward. In both engineering and product, that mindset helps turn complexity into progress.

What #GiveToGain means Delivery Hero?

This question brought out some of the clearest reflections in the set.

Kanchan describes #GiveToGain is generosity that creates results. Give trust and respect, and you create ownership. Give opportunity, and you create growth. Give freedom, and you help build future leaders.

Pamela frames it as a force multiplier. For her, supporting women in tech means more than encouragement. It means opening doors, sharing what is usually left unsaid, and actively investing in the foundations women need to lead.

Gözde’s reflection is rooted in collective progress. Her answer is a reminder that many of the opportunities women have today exist because of the courage and work of those who came before, and that real progress depends on continuing to make space, support one another and learn together.

What these stories say about careers at Delivery Hero

These stories show what growth looks like in practice at Delivery Hero.

It looks like engineers building tools that help entire teams move faster. It looks like product leaders creating value through collaboration and customer learning. It looks like career moves into new disciplines, backed by trust and opportunity. And it looks like leadership that combines high standards with generosity.

For women in tech, and for anyone looking for a place to build, learn and lead, that matters.

At Delivery Hero, tech careers are not one-size-fits-all. They are shaped by real ownership, real complexity and real opportunities to grow across brands, functions and markets. And as these stories show, the strongest progress happens when people lift each other up along the way.

This Women’s Month, #GiveToGain is more than a theme. It is a reminder of the kind of culture we want to keep building: ambitious, supportive and built for growth.
