How to Prepare for Your Interview

Interviews at Delivery Hero are designed to understand how you think, act, and grow — not just what’s on your CV. Preparation matters, and the strongest candidates come with clear examples, structured thinking, and curiosity. You don’t need perfect answers or polished scripts. What matters most is sharing real examples with clarity, ownership, and reflection so we can understand how you think, make decisions, and create impact.
Find the pro tips below and we wish you the very best in your interview with us!

Heading

Before your interview, identify 5-7 specific situations where you made meaningful decisions and drove results.
For each, be prepared to guide interviewers through:

- The context and challenge you faced
- Your specific actions (what YOU did, not your team)
- Measurable outcomes and business impact
- What you learned or would do differently

When telling your stories, focus on your decision-making process and personal accountability:

- Explain your reasoning and trade-offs you considered
- Be honest about results—both successes and setbacks
- Show self-awareness about what you'd improve

Move beyond what you would do or believe—focus on what you actually did:

- Quantify impact wherever possible (metrics, scale, efficiency gains)
- Describe your specific behaviors, not just ‘in theory’ philosophies
- Be ready to go deeper if prompted—have details ready

Reflect honestly on where you might have weaker examples:

- If you lack experience in an area, acknowledge it and describe how you'd approach it
- Prepare to discuss how you've developed in areas where you've struggled
- Be ready to explain your thinking process for unfamiliar scenarios
- Show willingness to learn
- Have an example ready: specific feedback you received, what you changed, and how it improved your results.
