Launching Our Leadership Principles
Over the past few years, we’ve been on an exciting journey to become the world’s leading delivery platform. Along the way, we’ve built a family of unique brands, each with its own story and strengths.
But as we’ve grown, we knew one thing was crucial - a set of guiding principles that would align our teams, strengthen our culture, and help everyone do their best work. We’re excited to share that after lots of collaboration, and a ton of hard work, these are now live!
We made sure to celebrate to mark this important occasion with a day of events and activities!
Celebrating with our global brands
We started the day with a global launch - uniting teams from around the world from our house of brands. Employees from every corner of the globe joined us for a virtual event that was insightful and fun.
Leaders took the stage (in person, and online!) from Woowa in South Korea, Glovo in Spain, efood in Greece, and many more, to share their favorite principles, and give us a behind-the-scenes look at how they apply them to their daily work.
It was inspiring to hear first hand how these principles are not just words—they are a clear way to align our teams, strengthen our culture, and push us all to strive for greatness.

Continuing the celebration at Delivery Hero HQ
Our Berlin employees continued the celebration in-person, and came together for an event that was specially built to get everyone interacting.
Employees were encouraged to participate in a game of bingo! Participants had the opportunity to complete 25 different tasks throughout the event that promised to have them engaged with the new set of principles. Activities included chatting with other employees and completing activities throughout the event.
There were six themed booths spread throughout the event space, each one manned by a group of senior leaders, all dedicated to one of our six principles. The idea was simple—engage in a fun and tangible way whilst completing tasks and challenges that reinforced the message.
At the ‘Deliver Value Fast’ station, employees were challenged to build a four-story cup pyramid in under one minute. It was a fun, fast-paced exercise that truly embodied the principle’s focus on speed and agility- no excuses!
Over at the ‘Bring Good Vibes’ station, employees contributed to a collaborative Spotify playlist via a QR code. Food and drink was also present throughout the event to ensure Heroes were fuelled up and energised. There was a selection of sweet and savory treats, with one of the standout items ’Raison Bars’ giving a playful nod to ‘Raise the Bar’
Lasting impact
To help employees carry the spirit of the principles with them long after the event, we had a photo booth where employees could snap professional-style headshots with cool Leadership Principle branding.

If you haven’t caught them already, here’s a closer look at the six guiding principles that will shape how we work, collaborate, and lead:

- Deliver Value Fast – We focus on what matters most to our customers and partners, embracing change and adapting quickly in a fast-paced industry.
- Bring Good Vibes – We support and celebrate each other, staying positive even in challenging times.
- Raise the Bar – We set ambitious goals, build high-performing teams, and deliver feedback that pushes everyone to grow.
- Stay Humble – We stay open-minded, grounded, and grateful for our successes, always looking for ways to improve and evolve.
These principles aren’t just words- they are a common language across our brands, ensuring clear expectations for leaders and teams. As we continue leading the way in global delivery, we’ll keep these values close, guiding our every move.
The road ahead
We couldn’t be more excited to see how this continues to inspire and shape our company culture. Whilst the launch event may have been a one-day celebration, the principles are here to stay, guiding us forward every day as we work to deliver the best possible results for our customers and each other.
Throughout the year there will be a series of activities that continue to inspire and educate employees on the Leadership Principles on a deeper level. Next month we kick off our series of Spotlight Sessions - in depth sessions that allow employees to be introduced to each principle at a deeper level and be presented with practical tools and examples to implement them in their everyday work.
