Celebrating Our Partnership with Xena: Empowering Diversity and Inclusion in Tech

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is part of our DNA. This year, Delivery Hero partnered with Xena, a leading advocate to close the gender gap in the tech industry. Together, we organised and supported a series of impactful events that celebrated the achievements of underrepresented groups and empowered future leaders in tech.

Xena Tech Summit

Delivery Hero sponsored the Xena Tech Summit, bringing together tech leaders, DE&I advocates, and change-makers committed to building a more equitable and inclusive tech industry. At the summit, Elena Kovalenko, Staff Engineer at Delivery Hero gave a talk titled “Taming The Beast Of Complexity: Tech Leadership in Large-Scale Projects”, sharing her experience being a global tech lead navigating complex projects.

Xena D&I Tech Employer Award

Delivery Hero was proud to sponsor the D&I Tech Employer award category, dedicated to highlighting the work being done behind the scenes - from setting up internal D&I initiatives and ERG groups to closing the pay gap and everything in between.

By supporting this award, we aimed to recognise and encourage the efforts that drive real change in the tech industry.

Leading by Example Lessons Learned, Milestones Achieved: Tech Leadership Meetup

Delivery Hero and Xena teamed up to co-host a tech leadership meetup, inviting over 50 senior leaders to Delivery Hero’s campus. At the event, Aditi Sodhi, Director of Engineering at Delivery Hero, Bhuvana Vijayan, Director of Engineering at Zenjob, and Sérgio Laranjeira, CTO at Metacore shared their journeys and how they tackled challenges to become better leaders. 

The evening was filled with learning and networking opportunities within the local Berlin senior leadership community.
