Hero Cirque du Soleil: It’s Party Time!

At Delivery Hero, we know how to throw a party- and our end-of-year company celebration is always one to remember! This year, our legendary event took inspiration from the dazzling, high-energy world of Cirque du Soleil.

With a theme full of creativity, magic, and surprises, it was an unforgettable night that brought our team together to celebrate a year of achievements in the most spectacular way.

Celebrating hard work

Every year, we host a company party to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our Heroes. Our Community team takes the reins and crafts a new, unique theme each year, creating an experience that’s fresh, fun, and totally out of the ordinary.

This time, we went all out with the vibrant energy of Cirque du Soleil, turning our celebration into a carnival of creativity and performance. The night was bursting with colorful characters, jaw-dropping performances, and endless surprises—all designed to showcase the diversity and talent that makes Delivery Hero so special.

Bringing employees together

Our company culture thrives on celebrating achievements and taking the time to appreciate contributions. These parties are more than just fun—they’re a chance to bring people together. It's all about fostering a sense of community, pride, and belonging, while having a lot of fun along the way.

We like to close the year on a high note, and ensure that our Heroes feel recognized for everything they’ve achieved. 

Costumes that didn’t disappoint!

This year’s party was a grand affair— there were nearly 2,000 Berlin-based Heroes in attendance. Employees had the option to show up either as ‘spectators’ or ‘performers’, and the costumes did not disappoint!

• Spectators came dressed in elegant, sophisticated attire that gave the whole event a luxurious vibe.
• Performers took the Cirque du Soleil theme to the next level, rocking crowns, acrobat costumes, magician hats, and everything in between. The room was alive with clowns, ringmasters, and mystics!

Something for everyone

The event had something for everyone! Whether employees were in the mood to dance, create, or just be entertained, there was no shortage of activities:

• Live music performed by Josito and the Kids, a band featuring some of our very own Heroes, bringing you hits from around the world! To close out the night, DJ Cuby was spinning the best beats to send us off in style!
• A karaoke room hosted by a fabulous drag queen (the performances here were legendary!)
• For those looking for a quieter vibe, we had mesmerizing performances that ranged from magic acts to acrobats defying gravity.
• Employees had the chance to relax in cozy corners or get hands-on with creative workshops, like hula-hooping.
• Fortune tellers and magicians also added to the entertainment and kept the air full of wonder and excitement!

The diversity of activities meant that every single attendee could find something that suited their mood. Whether it was a crazy dance-off, or a cozy chat with colleagues, there was no shortage of ways to enjoy the evening.

Engaging outside the office

The feedback received was positive, with many employees highlighting how much they enjoyed the chance to showcase their creativity and engage with others outside of the office.

In fact, the majority of attendees jumped into at least one activity, proving just how well the event catered to different interests and personalities. Whether it was dancing, singing, or just watching the performances, it was clear that everyone found their own way to get involved.

Memorable moments

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was definitely the karaoke room! It was a total hit, with employees getting into the spirit and singing their hearts out. Some amazing performances took place, and it was a great way to connect with new people in a lighthearted way. 

What’s next?

We’re always looking to improve, so we sent out a survey to our employees to gather their thoughts and preferences for future parties. Some are leaning towards a summer celebration, while others are all about the cozy vibes of a winter party. We can’t wait to plan an even bigger and better event based on their feedback!
