  • Google reports that over 30% of all new code is AI-generated (Jan '26), with this percentage being significantly higher in their AI-native departments. As a result, feature team sizes have shrunk considerably, moving from 15 members down to 3-4, effectively quadrupling their development bandwidth.
  • At companies like Cursor, the entire ownership of a feature has shifted from a full team to a single engineer.
  • Spotify noted in February '26 that their top developers have not written any code since December, thanks to AI tools.
  • Even higher rates are reported by internal sources at Anthropic and OpenAI, where top engineers claim AI now writes 100% of their code (Jan '26).
  • Stripe leverages its automated coding agent, "Minions," which merges over 1,000 pull requests per week. 
These examples underscore the dramatic and accelerating disruption AI agents are bringing to the field of software engineering.

The Agentic IDEs Team: Empowering Our Engineers for the Future of Coding

Agentic IDEs Team

Overview and Mission The Agentic IDEs team is at the forefront of Delivery Hero's Agentic Acceleration program, focused on revolutionizing how our software engineers work. Our mission is to elevate the engineering workforce beyond simple assisted coding to guided feature generation by providing and customizing a cutting-edge, agentic Integrated Development Environment (IDE) or Command Line Interface (CLI). This involves creating a developer experience where multi-agent support enables engineers to parallelize their work, leading to a step-change in productivity.

Why This Role is Important The team's work is critical to achieving Delivery Hero's ambition to maintain its competitive standing in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. As tech leaders like Google and Spotify see dramatic shifts in code production—with one report noting top developers haven't written a line of code in months due to AI tools—it is vital for Delivery Hero to keep pace.

Contribution to Company Goals The Agentic IDEs team is central to the Agentic Engineering focus area, which has the bold Northstar of achieving 100% daily AI-usage of engineers in 2026.

Driving Productivity - By moving developers to guided feature generation tools, the team directly contributes to key performance indicators like Pull Requests (PR) per engineer and the Lines of Code ratio (Human/AI).

Strategic Customization - The team assesses and decides on the agentic IDE tech stack, ensuring it is tailored to Delivery Hero's distributed ecosystem.

Upskilling and Adoption - The team is responsible for the crucial task of upskilling the entire engineering workforce and driving the rollout of the IDE across the group, ensuring high adoption rates.

Contextual Intelligence - The team builds the necessary integrations to provide the agents with contextual knowledge of our internal APIs, microservice landscape, Engineering Manifesto, coding guidelines, and knowledge bases like documentation, Slack, and GDrive.

Smart Guardrails: - Given the non-deterministic nature of generative AI the team builds automated guardrails that ensure generated code is safe to deploy to production.

To be a successful on the Agentic IDEs team, you should bring a blend of deep technical expertise, a passion for developer experience, and strong soft skills for driving adoption.

Technical Expertise - Developer Tooling and Workflow: Deep understanding of modern software development workflows, including version control (e.g., Git, especially concepts like git worktrees), IDEs, CLIs, and build/deployment pipelines.
- System Integration and Architecture: Experience integrating complex systems and customizing tools for a distributed ecosystem.
- LLM/Agentic Development: Foundational knowledge and practical experience with large language models, agentic workflows, and how to build or integrate multi-agent support to enable parallel work.
- GDP: Familiarity with GDP and standards like OAM and OTEL.

Mindset and Contribution - Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Strong ability to assess and decide on the optimal agentic IDE tech stack.
- Customization Focus: A drive to customize and tailor tools to the specific needs of Delivery Hero's engineering workforce and integrate internal standards (like the Engineering Manifesto via AGENTS.md).
- Developer Empathy: A genuine passion for improving the day-to-day life of a software engineer, recognizing how to change workflows for increased speed and efficiency.

Soft Skills and Adoption - Evangelism and Training: Excellent communication and educational skills required for the crucial task of upskilling the engineering workforce and successfully rolling out the IDE across the group.
- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with various entities across the group (eFood, Glovo, Talabat, etc.) to gather feedback and drive widespread adoption.

The Herogen Team: Building the Future of Software Delivery

The Herogen Team

Overview and Mission The Herogen team is dedicated to building and scaling Delivery Hero's fully autonomous software delivery agent. Herogen's mission is to be capable of solving assigned engineering tickets without human intervention. This is the highest form of agentic development, aiming for unprecedented levels of engineering throughput.

The project was kicked-off in Q4 2025, launched in stealth mode in January 2026, and went General Availability (GA) in early February, and has already achieved 10x of its Q1 target. The team is now focused on scaling its impact.

Why This Role is Important This team is tackling the most disruptive technology in software engineering. While major tech companies see up to 100% of code being AI-written by top engineers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI), Delivery Hero has an urgent focus on keeping pace with innovative tech companies like Stripe, whose automated coding agents merge over 1,000 pull requests per week.

Your role is to dramatically increase the volume and complexity of work Herogen can handle, directly impacting the company's ability to innovate and stay ahead of competitors.

Contribution to Company Goals The Herogen team is a core part of the Agentic Engineering focus area. The ultimate goal is to reach the 2026 target of 20% of Delivery Hero's overall merged pull requests being generated autonomously, a massive jump from the current end-of-year goal of 10,000 merged PRs (which is ~4%).

Scaling User Base and Adoption - The team implements native integration with brand environments and enforcing conventions and builds features like Co-authoring, allowing Herogen to be invoked on human-generated PRs. Integrating with Slack and other tools that are part of the engineering workflow eases triggering Herogen and drives usage.

Increasing Ticket Scope - The team is responsible for expanding Herogen’s capabilities to handle a wider array of tasks, including tasks spanning several repositories, and expanding agent skills with specialized capabilities like OAM and Open Telemetry.

Improving Code Quality - Code quality is a key driver for success. Enhancing the Agent Council with specialized capabilities, e.g. reliability, and integrating with other sources to improve the quality of generated code will help adoption and increase trust.

Providing a robust build environment and runtime support for backend, mobile, and web will allow testing code fully before moving forward. Building sophisticated Context Scrapers for sources like Slack, Github, and other internal knowledge will provide architectural context.

Optimizing PR Acceptance and Trust: - The team is responsible for maximizing the merge success rate of Herogen-generated pull requests by focusing on the reviewer's experience. It builds continuous learning loops, enabling Herogen to analyze requested changes, learn from rejected PRs, and adapt its future outputs to match team-specific coding styles and expectations.

The Autonomous Development team requires engineers who are not only expert coders but also systems thinkers, focused on quality, scaling, and the cutting-edge of AI. Success in this role means transforming an agent into a reliable, high-volume production system.

Technical Expertise - High-Bar Quality Engineering: A deep commitment to software quality and reliability. Experience with implementing and maintaining quality gates, integrating tools like Codacy for code quality analysis, and understanding how to prevent faulty code from reaching production.
- Agentic System Design: Expertise in building, scaling, and hardening autonomous or semi-autonomous software agents.
- Build environments and Runtimes: Experience with a wide range of build environments and runtimes, including backend, mobile, and web, to ensure Herogen can confidently address tickets across the entire software ecosystem.
System Scaling & Integration - System Integration: Experience with integrating tools across a decentralized environment.
- CI/CD Expertise: Strong knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable Herogen to operate end-to-end.
- Contextual Awareness: Experience developing data ingestion and processing pipelines to give the agent the necessary architectural context and internal knowledge to solve complex tickets.

 The AIOps Team: Building the Safety Net for Agentic Acceleration

The AIOps Team

Overview and Mission The AIOps team is dedicated to securing the stability and quality of Delivery Hero's systems as engineering velocity rapidly increases through autonomous and agentic coding. The team's mission is to leverage agents for operational tasks—specifically detecting anomalies, figuring out root causes, and executing runbooks—to significantly reduce incident response times and effort. This work includes researching and implementing best-in-class solutions.

Why This Role is Important The AIOps team is the critical safety net for the entire Agentic Engineering focus area. As agentic software development accelerates the creation of new features, the risk of operational incidents increases linearly. This team prevents operations from becoming a bottleneck to innovation.

Contribution to Company Goals The AIOps team directly supports the company's competitive goal to accelerate feature delivery with the highest reliability and safety.

Minimizing Operational Incidents The primary goal is to reduce incident response times and effort through AI-assisted anomaly detection and agentic root cause analysis and remediation.

Implementing Quality Gates The team will drive the wide-spread adoption of advanced quality gates, including canary releases with automated rollbacks (leveraging existing capabilities built in GDP).

Knowledge Integration By integrating agents with internal knowledge bases (like post mortems) and existing runbooks, the team turns tribal knowledge into a proactive, automated defense system.

To be successful, a candidate should be a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or Operations specialist with a passion for leveraging AI to solve complex, real-time problems.

Technical Expertise & AIOps Focus - SRE/Operations Mastery: Deep, practical experience with site reliability, incident management, and designing systems for high availability and low latency.
- AIOps Tooling & Research: Expertise in the AIOps vendor landscape. Experience with specific products like the Grafana SRE agent or similar offerings from providers like AWS or PagerDuty is highly valuable.
- Incident Response Automation: Proven ability to formalize and integrate processes for detecting anomalies, performing root cause analysis, and automating runbook execution.
- Deployment Safety & Quality Gates: Strong experience with modern deployment strategies, particularly canary releases and automated rollbacks, including the necessary infrastructure integration.
- Infrastructure & Integration: Expert-level knowledge of integrating operational tools with diverse infrastructure components and internal knowledge bases like post mortems.

Project & Strategic Skills - Vendor Assessment: Assessing, deciding, and implementing new vendor products.
- Adoption: An ability to be a champion for new processes, actively pushing for critical reliability practices across engineering teams.
- Systems Thinker: Ability to understand the correlation between increased feature delivery speed and potential operational risk, and to proactively design systems to mitigate that risk and remove bottlenecks.

The Program Team: The Catalyst for Agentic Transformation

The Program Team

Overview and Mission The Program Execution team is the centralized hub that connects our specialized agentic efforts with the broader organization. While engineering teams build the systems, this team ensures they are integrated, governed, and adopted group-wide. Their mission is to orchestrate a unified strategy, moving Delivery Hero from fragmented AI experimentation to a cohesive, high-velocity AI-native ecosystem.

Why This Role is Important This team is the essential glue between technical innovation and business impact. By centralizing vendor relations and compliance, they ensure that a breakthrough in one area (like automated coding) or a win in another (like non-tech process automation) becomes a standard for all.

Contribution to Company Goals As the team that ties everything together, they own the Northstar of 100% daily AI-usage across both engineering and enterprise functions. They bridge the gap between having a tool and using a tool by turning technical capabilities into daily habits for everyone at Delivery Hero.

Impact Analysis & Reporting Setting up a group-wide framework to track if our AI investment is working. Analyzing productivity data across all focus areas and turning it into clear ROI stories for leadership.

Advocacy & Evangelism Acting as the voice of the program. Running roadshows and workshops to get both tech and non-tech teams excited, while addressing cultural concerns regarding how AI changes the nature of work.

Upskilling & Training Building the curriculum with learning and development teams to help the entire workforce move past the initial learning curve. Creating train-the-trainer programs to empower local AI champions in every department.

Cross-Brand Orchestration Connecting decentralized brands and verticals to ensure knowledge sharing and a unified AI experience across the entire Delivery Hero group.

Success in this team requires a blend of data-driven analysis and a passion for people-centric change management across diverse departments.

Analytical Expertise - Data Storytelling: The ability to take raw usage data and turn it into a compelling narrative about productivity and business value.
- Metric Definition: Understanding how AI influences business processes and delivery cycles, and defining the KPIs to prove it.

Advocacy & Soft Skills - High-Energy Evangelism: A genuine passion for AI that is contagious. You must be comfortable presenting to large groups—from engineers to business leads—and handling skepticism with empathy.
- Change Management: Experience helping large organizations adopt new habits. You understand that cultural shifts are the hardest part of any technological rollout.

Strategic Mindset - Problem-Solving: The ability to navigate administrative or technical blockers (legal, security, or regional hurdles) to keep the program’s momentum high.

7-day Window

We are launching a fast-track 7-day application window, utilizing a batch-interview approach to expedite hiring. The process will start with a recruiter interview followed by an online assessment. Once passed, you will be invited to a technical interview, to be followed with a final round with the Hiring Manager. Interviews may be scheduled at the same time to support a quicker process.

Assessment 

Candidates will receive the assessment on a specified date and time. The assessment is expected to be completed and submitted within a 4-hour window. Once you receive this information, please plan and block your calendars accordingly.
