About the opportunity

We are on the lookout for Senior UX Researcher - (Logistics, Rider) to join our Logistics product teams to create a seamless experience for our riders. Logistics is the engine that ensures orders get to restaurants and food to customers. It is at the heart of bringing hot, delicious meals to customers in the fastest possible way. We build mobile apps and products for riders, vendors, internal product users, as well as dispatchers, planners, and support teams. To do this well, we have to understand their needs – globally! You will be part of a young UX research team in which you will have a great chance to apply different research methods for the projects, ranging from the discovery/generative to strategic/tactical in different stages of the product development process.

You will influence product direction and roadmaps with your findings, and drive the understanding and empathy with our users across the product teams. 

In our Logistics Team, you’ll tackle high-impact challenges that make last-mile delivery efficient, affordable, and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders, end customers, and merchants across the globe. Each enhancement you contribute will help Delivery Hero optimize delivery operations, supporting expansion into new areas like grocery and retail.

 

  • Autonomously manage and run multiple global research projects in parallel with various complexities, ranging from discovery to tactical, by triangulation of the mixed methods.

  • Drive and contribute to the evolution of user-centred culture by studying the user behaviour, attitudes, and cognitions globally. Actively initiate and drive impactful foundational research projects to help clarify ambiguous problem spaces.

  • Lead and Support prioritization of the research projects by evaluating the user and business value, effort, and product phase.

  • Build and drive the research roadmap in an agile working context by collaborating with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Produce actionable research insights and (proactively) communicate with a variety of audiences.

  • Mentor and support less senior UX researchers, product designers, and product owners to help them grow their UX research skills.

  • Participate in the development of new and/or extension of existing research methods, operations, and processes.


What you need to be successful

  • 5+ years (5+ years for the senior position) of work experience in UX research, product research, or applied research.

  • Ability to independently define research goals and questions, select the most adequate method and sampling, manage recruitment, execute, and synthesise data to generate actionable insights.(Excellent) Understanding and experience in a broad spectrum of UX research methodologies.

  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and time-management skills to provide high-value research in a fast-changing environment by meeting deadlines.

  • Experience with working as the primary investigator on a project
 and working across the full product lifecycle. Self-driven, as well as an enthusiastic team player. Strong understanding of how to connect research outputs with the overall product roadmaps and business strategy by focusing on the overall outcome to generate impact.

  • Passionate about mentoring, enabling, and supporting non-field experts to conduct research and moderate sessions.

  • Great interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Fluency in English required.
