Manager, Engineering, Golang - (Quick Commerce)

We are on the lookout for an Engineering Manager, Golang - (Quick Commerce) to join the Item Navigation domain on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. 

You will be part of redefining how customers experience quick commerce. You’ll help build technology that scales our non-food offerings, reaching new market segments and driving revenue growth. By innovating within our Quick Commerce Team, you’ll make Delivery Hero the go-to platform for a broad range of products, helping us grow faster and deliver more value to customers around the world.

Item Navigation domain within QC Merchandising is at the forefront of enabling customers to seamlessly find relevant products within our Q-Commerce Platforms. The team is responsible for building and running Tier 1 services that sit on a critical path between customers  and our global platforms. This involves managing large-scale data ingestion, processing, and serving business logic.

What you need to be successful

•  2-3 years of leadership experience with a key focus on modern web applications and cloud services, ideally in large-scale distributed microservice systems

• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines. 

• Experience with building teams from scratch as well as joining established teams as a leader

• Knowledge in at least 50% of the mentioned technologies: Golang, nice to have Rust, Redis, AWS OR GCP, Kafka, Graphql, GRPC, experience with scaling ML solutions. 

• Collaborate closely & efficiently with product management and other departments to build new products and features that match business requirements with pragmatic technical solutions with modern engineering principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear business focus

• Drive quarterly and long-term objectives and key results with full responsibility for executing the OKRs

• Experience in mentoring and growing your people and teams on a daily basis to form an excellent engineering organization and culture
