Specialist Projects - Logistics

The Specialist Project is a pivotal role focused on enhancing both the Hero Experience and Safety within the UAE market. This individual will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and executing strategic projects aimed at improving operational efficiencies, enhancing safety protocols, and ensuring an outstanding experience for riders. With a strong emphasis on SMART KPIs, the role involves auditing business as usual (BAU) processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to drive excellence in safety and operations.

What’s on Your Plate?

• Develop and oversee the execution of projects with SMART KPIs, focusing on both the improvement of Hero Experience and the enhancement of Safety.

• Auditing BAUs, identifying efficiencies/Inefficacies i.e. telematics, accident validation and IMS to drive improvement

• Take full accountability for project execution, coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders to align on project plans and safety protocols.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, train and coach team members as required, and ensure compliance with local safety regulations.

• Keeping up to date with local safety regulations & practices

• Lead in the analysis of data related to rider safety, implementing country-wide action plans based on industry research, rider feedback, and accident/incident investigations.

• Lead the planning and execution of safety-specific objectives, such as road safety weeks and social media safety campaigns, leveraging innovative technology solutions to enhance rider safety.

• Be the champion of everything “Safety” in the UAE market.

What Did We Order?

• Stakeholder management – Ability to own projects, hustle and drive execution

• Bachelor's Degree in any technical domain.

• Proven experience of 3-5 years in project management roles with exposure to last mile delivery in large Ecommerce organizations or Tech Startups.

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills as well as eagerness to be directly involved in field operations by training, mentoring and ensuring executions on the floor

• Ability to engage, collaborate and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders

• Result driven individual with the will to learn quickly

• Exceptional presentation and communication skills in English, with proficiency in Urdu or being advantageous.

• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

• Self-motivated and curious, with a passion for researching industry practices and going beyond the call of duty to impact rider well-being and happiness positively.
