Principal Engineer - AdTech Specialist

We are on the look out for a Principal Engineer to join our AdTech tribe. Contribute to the creation of our next-generation platform, that helps our partners - such as restaurants but also local shops - to scale their business. AdTech tribe is a geographically distributed tribe of 16+ squads. We are here to build high-available advertisement solutions for the local delivery market. Our solutions are helping our vendors to attract and retain clients as well as helping users of our platforms to open new tastes and find new favorite dishes. Our solutions are running globally from LATAM to APAC and serving out clients via mobile and web applications.

We deploy often and move quickly with self-sufficient cross-functional squads that work collaboratively according to the “we build it, we run it” principle. We optimize our solutions for high load and high reliability, high availability and low latency. We leverage microservices architecture principles and patterns, micro-frontends, inner-sourcing, batch and streaming data processing.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product to define technical OKRs and deliver high value to stakeholders and customers.

• Lead architecture discussions across domains and tribes, representing the tribe in reviews, identifying improvements, and challenging the status quo.

• Set high engineering standards through mentorship (especially for Senior and Staff engineers) and by leading with best practices.

• Drive future-oriented technical decisions via RFCs and similar tools, aligning teams on scalable solutions and improvements.

• Conduct regular reviews on reliability, scalability, cost-efficiency, and security at the tribe level.

• Promote best practices, foster knowledge sharing, and contribute to an effective, scalable org structure aligned with delivery flow.

• 15+ years of building and delivering scalable, distributed systems using microservices, APIs, and data processing (streaming & batch).
• Deep expertise in AdTech systems, including low-latency ad serving, measurement and attribution pipelines, large-scale auctioning and bidding systems, fraud detection, and traffic quality.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS focus), Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure as code, with proven experience in cloud cost optimization.
• Solid understanding of storage systems (SQL, NoSQL, caching layers) and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Kibana, Prometheus, DataDog) with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and latency.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across teams, mentor Senior and Staff engineers, influence architecture at scale, and empower others through pragmatic decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal English, capable of clearly explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
