Manager Food Safety & Quality

• Collaborate with local and central departments to align business goals.

• Ensure employees receive proper food safety & quality training; localize and create training materials, templates, procedures.

• Investigate food safety and quality issues at the store and supplier levels.

• Support development and local execution of serious customer complaint escalation processes.

• Respond to food poisoning, foreign body incidents, or regulatory visits, and communicate with stakeholders.

• Liaise with local authorities and ensure compliance with enforcement actions.

• Manage product withdrawals, recalls, and serious incidents.

• Monitor regulatory changes and initiate internal compliance measures.

• Review and update procedures in response to regulatory/operational changes.

• Provide technical support for food safety and quality management systems.

• Oversee product quality: lab testing, product specs, labels, audits, and sampling.

• Track and analyze customer complaint trends and support KPI development and monitoring.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Conduct and maintain H&S risk assessments for store operations.

• Design and manage H&S inspection and audit programs.

• Lead investigations into accidents and near misses.

• Coordinate maintenance plans for H&S safeguards.

• Develop and deliver H&S training; maintain competency records.

• Degree in food science or related field.

• 5+ years of experience managing Food Safety, Quality, or H&S in retail, foodservice, or manufacturing.

• Fluency in local language(s) and English.

• Proven HACCP knowledge and familiarity with H&S standards.

• Experience with tech-enabled process improvements.

• Project/program management across multiple locations.

• Familiarity with local/regional food safety laws and standards.

• Experience interacting with regulatory authorities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
