About the opportunity

  • Drive overall commercial & expansion strategies across our pandamart categories and initiatives

  • Leveraging market data, analysis and category insights to identify business opportunities for sustainable growth of the pandamart business

  • Develop and execute optimal category strategy, pricing, promotions, range, availability, and cost prices to expand both sales and margin

  • Identify and close key range and assortment gaps to ensure high quality and good value goods available to our customers year-round

  • Understand customers’ needs and formulate the corresponding range and pricing strategies for the designated categories in maximizing customers’ satisfaction and category performance

  • Source and build strong supplier base to negotiate terms improvement, secure supplier advertising spend, and ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods

  • Employ data-driven decision making to drive the category. Ensure Foodpanda categories has the optimal selection and strategically competitive prices in the market through local and international sourcing

  • Work cross-functionally with Regional, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing to deliver strategic projects including managing inventory level & shrinkage, forecasting market demand, etc. 


What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant.

  • Over 8 years of experience in merchandising/buying and category management / business management or consulting with a proven history of delivering results

  • Candidate from FMCG, retail and ecommerce industry is highly desirable

  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management (both internal and external).

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

  • Ability and desire to contribute to wider team performance and culture.

  • Strong analytical skills and highly motivated 

  • Great communication skills (both oral and written) are a must.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, fast learner of new tools
