Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Category Manager to join our team!
In this role, you will manage specific product categories, focusing on smaller suppliers, and support the Senior Category Manager in handling major supplier relationships. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing our product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Category Management:
Negotiate and finalize service agreements with smaller suppliers, including product listings, planograms, fixtures and promotional activities.
Implement and monitor these agreements across our retail outlets, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop and execute advertising and promotional campaigns that drive category performance.
Wholesale Category Support:
Assist the Senior Category Manager in establishing and maintaining relationships with major suppliers, contributing to negotiations and contract management.
Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of supplier agreements into the broader business.
Assortment Strategy:
Support in defining and managing the product assortment for assigned categories, making data-driven decisions to optimize the product mix.
Monitor market trends and consumer behavior to adjust assortment strategies proactively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations, to align category strategies with overall business goals.
Provide insights and support to the Senior Category Manager in developing long-term category plans.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market research and data analysis techniques.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating across all organizational levels.
