Business Analyst (all genders)

Delivery Hero is looking for a Business Analyst (all genders) to join our European Strategy & Planning team. We love data and it is at the heart of all decisions we are taking for the business. The team plays a crucial role in providing 360 visibility on our operational performance for the business leadership and creates advanced analysis that challenges the status quo. Delivery Hero Europe consists of 9 different country organizations and is led by a regional leadership team out of Berlin.  We are growing rapidly and occupy leading positions.  

A typical day:

• You will Gather and analyze complex business problems using data from internal and external sources

• Provide actionable insight to decision-makers to influence strategy and performance  

• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to attribute key business drivers

• Analyze and define metrics that tie back to business performance and initiatives

• Will be a proponent of test/learn culture by enabling and supporting experimentation

• Generate forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans to drive actions

• Create specifications and generates reports and analysis mapping to business needs

• May provide consultation and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues

• Directly produces datasets and reports for analysis using databases and reporting tools

• You will work closely with senior business leadership in Europe to create value and business impact through better data availability, visualization and analysis

• You will own our dashboard set and construct new dashboards and other visualization tools to monitor business performance and highlight ways to improve it

• You will creatively analyze data to generate insights that support strategic decisions

• You will work closely with Data Engineers to ensure data is available, accurate and corresponds to the business needs

Your Heroic Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree ideally in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, etc.)

• 4+  years of working experience top tier analyst or consulting experience in business intelligence or analytics

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights and recommendations.

• Strong communication skills, with experience presenting complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.

• Intellectually curious and inquisitive with a genuine passion for problem solving and ability to think quickly on one’s feet.

• A "driver" personality - biased toward action, phenomenal collaborator, and excellent simplifier.

• Preferred proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)

• Experience in managing complex projects or programs

• Good understanding of software development and agile methodologies with Excellent SQL skill; BigQuery experience is highly valued.

• Knowledgeable and preferably experienced in designing and analyzing experiments in digital products (A/B test, multivariate, etc)

• Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across the teams.

• Hands-on to get things done fast and ability to work without continual guidance

• Enquiring mind with the ability to recognise inefficiencies and challenge the status quo

• Attention to detail combined with creative thinking

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
