Job description

About the opportunity

We are on the lookout for a Staff Product Analyst (Vendor Growth) to join our Product Analytics team and drive data strategy for our Vendor Growth business management line. In this role, you will move beyond simple reporting to shape the future of our product through rigorous hypothesis testing and by converting massive datasets into high-impact strategic narratives.

In our Vendor Growth Team, you’ll tackle high-impact challenges that empower restaurant partners to operate independently and at scale. Your work will directly improve experiences for vendors and their customers across the globe. Each enhancement you contribute will help Delivery Hero optimize partner operations, support partner autonomy, and strengthen vendor relationships.

As a Staff Analyst, you will champion a core strategic initiative focused on improving partner autonomy and operational efficiency. You will lead analysis and initiatives that help us better understand partner behavior, optimize vendor-facing experiences, and identify opportunities to reduce dependency on support channels. Your work will contribute to improved partner satisfaction, lower operational costs, and more scalable business processes.

You will operate across the product line, partnering with leaders in Product, Tech, Operations and Data to define the strategic direction of analytics for the entire Vendor Growth business. This is your opportunity to leverage deep technical expertise to champion innovation and influence how Delivery Hero empowers vendors at scale.

Strategic Leadership & Product Influence:

  • Define the North Star: Develop and refine product metrics and leading indicators that accurately reflect vendor health, partner satisfaction, and business viability. Establish VSSR and related self-service metrics as key performance indicators.

  • Influence Roadmap: Use quantitative analysis to look beyond the numbers, providing insights that empower Product Managers and Engineers to decide what to build and why. Provide data-driven recommendations on partner behavior and feature adoption.

  • Drive Experimentation: Guide the team on methodology, design, interpretation, and decision-making of A/B tests. Champion vendor-facing experiments to validate self-service feature improvements and operational optimizations.

Technical Excellence & Scalability:

  • Build for Scale: Drive the development of scalable analytics infrastructure and self-service capabilities, ensuring data quality and accessibility across the organization.

  • Advanced Modeling: Collaborate on vendor behavior analysis and predictive models to understand adoption barriers and optimize feature rollout strategies.

Mentorship & Culture:

  • Elevate the Team: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing, rigorous peer review, and technical excellence.

  • Evangelize Data: Act as a quality gatekeeper and champion a data-driven mindset across the Product and Tech teams.

What you need to be successful

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role, preferably within fast-paced tech environments or marketplaces.

    • Deep understanding of A/B test design and edge cases, causal inference, and statistical analysis.

    • High level experience in SQL skills with practical experience on large-scale data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake), solid Python skills for complex analytics, automation, and data visualisation.

    • Proven ability to design, build, and optimize data pipelines. You take ownership of data curation to ensure that all business decisions are based on a foundation of reliable, high-quality data, and proven track record of building actionable data-stories and dashboards (Tableau, Looker, or similar) that drive business decisions.

    • Demonstrated experience mentoring junior analysts and leading high-impact projects with autonomy. You can influence stakeholders without formal authority.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with vendor/partner-centric products.
