Sr. Manager Logistics Product Operations

What’s on Your Plate?

As the Sr. Manager Product Ops, you will be responsible for leading the following key areas:

Product Strategy and Roadmap

• Lead product discovery and prioritisation, aligning it with logistics OKRs and the needs of local and regional logistics teams

• Build clear Logistics product requirements to enable the talabat Everyday App materialisation through effective lobbying and prioritisation with relevant product stakeholders (in talabat & Delivery Hero)

• On a business-as-usual basis, Engage closely with business, Delivery Hero & talabat tech teams to address product pain points and prioritize new features

• Ensure feedback is effectively and regularly communicated and reverted back to the respective teams for action.

Problem Solving

• Drive product thinking to co-solve problems / Logistics priorities based on subject matter expertise

• Raise feature requests and advocate with Delivery Hero / talabat P&T for prioritisation with compelling business cases

New Feature Rollouts

• Oversee testing and ensure all pre-launch actions are completed for new feature roll-outs

• Collaborate with functional teams to design targeted experiment setups

• Identify and monitor success metrics, including the setup of a reporting infrastructure

• Relay new developments and recommend next steps to key stakeholders both pre and post go-live

• Effectively graduate new features to specialised Logistics owners to drive optimisation and business impact

Product Documentation and Communication

• Ensure users understand:

  • How to access logistics tools and the permissions they require

  • What functionalities are enabled and in which markets

  • Which features are in the pipeline and their timelines

Bugs & Product Issues 

• Assist countries in addressing product and tech-related issues while evaluating their impact

• Act as the primary contact during product emergencies with our tools

• Prioritize and escalate critical bugs to product support teams for prompt resolution

• Cascade resolution to relevant stakeholders effectively

Reporting structure

• Reports to: Vice President, Regional Logistics

• Manages: 2x Logistics Product Managers, 1x Logistics Product Specialist (TBD)

• Key stakeholders: Regional Logistics, Local Logistics, Delivery Hero Product Ops, Talabat Product, Q-Commerce

What did we order?

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Business, IT, or related fields. Advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics or product management will be a plus

Experience: 

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, product management or related roles

• Experience in food delivery, e-commerce, or q-commerce sectors will be highly advantageous

Technical Skills:

• Ability to interpret and work with complex data sets to derive meaningful insights and actions

• Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills, especially in test design and interpretations

• Ability to diagnose issues and come up with effective solutions quickly  

Soft Skills:

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to a diverse audience across different markets and teams

• Strong leadership qualities with an ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority

• Proven ability to prioritize, manage and complete multiple initiatives simultaneously with minimal supervision

• Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure smooth product operations
