We are looking for a mid level Frontend Engineer (f/m/d) to join our B2B & backoffice design system team to help us create and maintain the system's features. You will be driving the concept of the system, developing components, helping the community adopt the system, strengthening the documentation, having a lot of fun with the team, and more.

Your mission:

• Contribute to building a high-quality design system together with your peers in the design system team

• Enroll your solutions to a large tech organization and have a high impact on the work of many development teams in their journey to deliver outstanding products

• Have a system-thinking mindset and the ability to define well-balanced abstractions 

• Identify interaction patterns across the products and build reusable components and frontend libraries in React. 

• Spread your knowledge about semantically correct HTML and CSS to our Frontend Engineers and mentor others on design system solutions

• Contribute to building internal tools and processes for designers and engineers to help them save time and effort and be more creative

• Be an ambassador for the consistency, usability, and accessibility of our product interfaces

• Work closely with system designers, product designers, and frontend engineers on scalable front-end solutions and abstract new components for the design system.

• Collaborate with and actively contribute to the Design and Tech organization

Your heroic skills:

•  5+ years of experience in frontend development and solutions delivery

• Advanced-level knowledge of React, Typescript and mindful of the latest best practices

• Experience with token-based design systems

• Know the ins and outs of Semantic Markup, CSS & Web Accessibility Standards

• A strong advocate for unit and end-to-end testing, experience with testing libraries (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, and tools like Testcafe, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)

• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and a trained eye for details. You have worked with design tools, like Figma/InVision/ etc.

• Participate in our knowledge-sharing culture: improving the codebase by doing code reviews and delivering high-quality software

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools, such as Github Actions and Drone

• Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience working with monorepos (e.g. Lerna, NX, Turborepo)

• Experience with mobile development / Data visualization libraries 

• Experience in maintaining systems with long-term support and backward compatibility in mind

• Contribution to the open source community, supporting design-system contributors

• BA in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
