Software Engineer (Java) - Fulfilment Operations (Quick-Commerce) (all genders)

We are on the lookout for a Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to join the Quick Commerce team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

The team is currently working on and optimising our internal back office applications in environments such as a master product database, catalog management systems, order fulfilment, campaign management, ad-serving/ad-booking systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design robust Java-based solutions.

• Develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.

• Implement best practices for software development, ensuring code quality and compliance with coding standards.

• Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and staying current with emerging Java technologies and industry trends.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to understand product requirements and provide technical insights during the product development lifecycle.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Java development related Spring frameworks.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

• Worked on the development of scalable, high-performance Java applications, demonstrating the ability to handle increased loads and ensure optimal system performance.

• Implemented best practices for designing and optimizing services to meet scalability requirements.

• Experience with RESTful API and/or gRPC development.

• Knowledge of relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL), and familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Experience with Apache Kafka and/or Amazon SNS for building scalable and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
