Senior Software Development Engineer in Test - AdTech

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our AdTech division. In this role, you will be an important part in developing our platform, have a significant impact on the development process itself and the quality of what we deliver to our consumers and partners—including restaurants and local shops.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance  in general and understanding of what practices and approaches, where and how to apply to achieve the highest results. You will work closely with development teams to define testing strategies and contribute to the overall software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies and oversee quality aspects on the adtech level.

• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, and ensure timely resolution.

• Design and develop automated test frameworks and test cases.

• Participate in all phases of the software development process like designing, developing, testing, and running (focuses on the most critical and impactful deliverables).

• Perform thorough testing of software applications, including functional, regression, performance, integration, load, and security testing.

• Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers in best practices for testing and automation.

• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to implement innovative testing solutions.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of a robust testing culture within the team.

• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance and testing, ideally in an independent role.

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary testing methodologies, including automated and manual testing strategies

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured), performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner), and UI automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress).

• Proactive, curious, and collaborative. Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to have a holistic, comprehensive, and correct understanding of the project scope, objectives, and deliverables to ensure the product aligns with business goals

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to decision-making (understanding of the problem, assessing the severity).

• Prioritizing tasks effectively and delivering on deadlines

• Experience in providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of quality improvement

Nice to have: 

• Knowledge in Python, Golang, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Terraform, REST, gRPC

• Understanding of advertising technologies, including ad-serving platforms, programmatic ecosystems, and data management.

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines

• Experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g., GCP, AWS), distributed systems, data processing/analytics, big data technologies.
