About the opportunity

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our team and lead the development and management of our consumer discovery products.

At the center of our marketplace team is the product discovery domain. This role is pivotal in driving the end-to-end product strategy, development, and optimisation of product discovery and the add to cart experience across multiple brands including foodpanda, foodora & yemeksepeti. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce, exceptional analytical skills, and a user-centric approach to product development.

Your mission is to continuously improve how we can help consumers effortlessly and delightfully find & discover what they want. Your main goal is to understand our user needs and provide frictionless discovery experience in ordering flow. You will lead our efforts in customer discovery to build a seamless and intuitive experience that makes the food selection process faster and enjoyable for everyone . You’ll envision, design, plan and drive the product that delivers an amazing experience to our tens of millions of customers across the world.


The right candidate will balance pragmatism with innovation and forward-thinking leadership. You will need to deliver business value quickly while investing strategically in capabilities that have longer-term but potentially much higher payoffs. You should be an empathetic listener, capable of understanding and envisioning opportunities with a diverse set of partner

Your Mission

  • Develop the product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plan for Discovery Products
  • Define appropriate metrics to measure how effectively we’re meeting each objective and set clear targets to strive for improvement constantly
  • Develop & use well-thought-out decision frameworks to align partner teams and leadership on marketplace growth. Effectively influence your peers & leadership for the best outcome
  • Develop strong feedback loops with peers leading our portfolio of brands and partner-facing teams
  • Resolve dependencies critical to success and work with your peers in Engineering, Analytics, and other Platform teams across DH to establish effective operating models. Work with Engineering to drive sensible tradeoffs between product and architecture investments
  • Communicate strategy, plan, trade offs, and progress through a regular cadence of written and verbal communication to DH's Consumer Leadership team

 


What you need to be successful

Your Heroic Skills

  • 5+ years of product management experience in an eCommerce or Marketplace setting, experience orchestrating the delivery of value in an enterprise environment where different teams own different systems is a big plus

  • A very keen product sense exhibited through great decision-making based on customer, business and technology understanding

  • Astute customer understanding; a very customer focused approach to solving problems

  • Deep interest in behavioral economics and how to leverage it for human motivation

  • Focus on talking to customers to get an intuitive understanding of how they think and behave

  • Long-term thinking around creating product and execution roadmaps

  • Data-oriented approach, a key eye for numbers, market insights and an appetite for business context and metrics

  • Effective communication skills, the ability to articulate and evangelize product vision, strategy priority andGo to market plans in a compelling manner

  • The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams yet the assertiveness and influence to rally people around right products

  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and the ability to manage communications and product delivery across multiple time zones

  • Owner mentality, willingness to take initiative, the accountability to dive into closure, tenacity and grit
