Job description

About the opportunity

As a Senior Performance Analyst within the MD Office, you will support the Managing Director and senior leadership by providing data-driven insights and recommendations that shape regional strategy and operational effectiveness. Working closely with data and performance teams, you will translate complex performance metrics into actionable intelligence, enabling timely and informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.

Your work will involve deep dives into business performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks across multiple markets. You will prepare transparent, concise materials for management and senior stakeholder meetings, ensuring that data-based insights are accessible and impactful. This role is critical for ensuring our strategic direction is consistently guided by robust, relevant, and well-communicated analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis of Business Performance:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs), market metrics, and financials to uncover trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.

  • Identify drivers behind performance fluctuations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand underlying causes and potential solutions.

  • Monitor competitive landscapes, market dynamics, and consumer behaviors to continually refine and contextualize performance assessments.

  • Data-Driven Recommendations:
  • Develop clear, data-backed recommendations for the MD and other senior stakeholders, providing guidance on strategic priorities, resource allocation, and optimization initiatives.

  • Synthesize complex data sets into narrative-driven insights, ensuring recommendations are actionable, measurable, and aligned with organisational objectives.

  • Continuously refine analytical models, frameworks, and dashboards to serve evolving business and stakeholder needs better.

Collaboration with Data & Performance Teams:

  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and performance management teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.

  • Engage regularly with cross-functional colleagues—such as operations, marketing, and finance—to validate findings, incorporate feedback, and enrich analytical outputs.

  • Champion data-driven decision-making, fostering a culture that values evidence-based strategies and transparent performance tracking.

Preparation of Management & Senior Stakeholder Materials:

  • Create compelling presentation decks, briefs, and reports for MD and senior-level forums, distilling key insights into a format that resonates with executive audiences.

  • Ensure materials are visually engaging, logically structured, and focused on strategic impact rather than raw data.

  • Anticipate stakeholder questions and concerns, preparing additional support materials or scenario analyses as needed.

What you need to be successful

  • Master's degree in business, economics, statistics, data analytics, engineering, or a related field.

  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in a role focused on data analysis, business intelligence, performance management, or strategy.

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI platforms) and the ability to translate quantitative findings into qualitative insights.

  • Experience working within or alongside data/analytics teams, demonstrating collaborative problem-solving and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to craft executive-level presentations and written materials that inform and influence senior leadership decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex analytical findings clearly and concisely.
