About the opportunity

Role Summary

Senior Manager, Special Projects & Performance role is part of the Talabat Kitchens organizational structure. The role involves analyzing talabat’s business performance, preparing data-driven insights for senior management, conducting in-depth market analyses to unlock topline and bottomline opportunities, leading special projects, and ensuring talabat is on track to hit PnL targets.

What’s On Your Plate?

This role will help drive strategic projects and generate insights for the business. The individual will be working very closely with senior management and be responsible for four main scopes:

Reporting Business Performance:

  • Analyze Data: Dive into talabat’s performance metrics, identifying key trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare Reports: Create comprehensive and insightful reports for senior management, highlighting key drivers of change and actionable insights.
  • Communicate Findings: Present findings in a clear and concise manner, often translating complex data into understandable recommendations for decision-makers.

Conducting Analytical Deep Dives:

  • Country-Specific Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of different talabat markets, focusing on identifying turnaround opportunities, growth and profitability areas.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to understand and address cross-functional issues impacting business performance.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and recommend strategies based on analysis to improve overall performance and achieve business objectives.

Special projects:

  • Launching new products: Develop business use cases with innovative ideas and bring them to life by working on their implementation, ensuring they align with strategic goals and add value to the business.

Sales & Revenue Performance

  • Develop and monitor performance scorecards for kitchen sales (by brand, cuisine, and location).
  • Identify underperforming brands or kitchens and drive corrective action plans with the commercial team.
  • Set and track revenue growth targets, order frequency, and conversion KPIs for each kitchen site.
  • Partner with account managers to optimize brand mix, pricing, and promotions to maximize kitchen utilization.

Sales & Revenue Performance

  • Build and implement operational performance dashboards (e.g. order prep time, dispatch time, kitchen uptime).
  • Conduct monthly kitchen performance reviews with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, commercial, marketing).
  • Benchmark operational KPIs across countries and identify best practices to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Track and improve partner satisfaction (brands operating in kitchens) through performance SLAs and feedback loops.
     

Growth Management

  • Support new kitchen launches by setting up baseline KPIs and performance tracking systems from day one.
  • Collaborate with marketing and demand teams to drive order growth and kitchen capacity utilization.
     

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Develop a performance governance framework and standardize reporting across regions.
  • Automate data collection and reporting processes for faster, more accurate decision-making.
  • Champion a data-driven performance culture across the kitchens team, ensuring accountability to KPIs.
