Job description

About the opportunity

The role

We're building talabat Beauty, the first quick-commerce beauty destination in the Middle East.

This is a 0→1 venture role inside talabat's New Ventures product organization.
You'll be a core Product Manager on a small, dedicated Beauty venture team, shaping how millions of MENA shoppers discover, evaluate, and re-buy beauty: a category that behaves nothing like food or grocery delivery. Beauty is brand-led, discovery-driven, content-heavy, with premium delivery expectations and high stakes on every first impression.

You'll work directly with the Beauty Venture Leader, engineering, design, data, commercial, brand, and CX counterparts dedicated to this vertical.

Why this role is rare:
Genuine 0→1 mandate inside a profitable, scaled platform. Startup speed without startup risk.
A category with structural tailwind in MENA (beauty per-capita spend is among the highest globally) and no real quick-commerce competition yet.
A small, founder-mode team where the PM shapes strategy, not just executes someone else's roadmap.
Direct exposure to leadership across talabat and Delivery Hero, with executive visibility from week one.

What's on your plate?

  • Champion features that solve real Beauty shopper needs: from discovery and re-purchase to brand-led browsing and a confidence-inspiring post-purchase experience.
  • Build for scale - designing a product that works across diverse Beauty shopper segments and MENA-specific market contexts.
  • Work within a cross-functional team of Product, Engineering, and Data to build and ship impactful features.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across your squad to accelerate execution and raise the quality of decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with design and research to uncover unmet Beauty shopper needs and identify opportunities.
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, and brand teams to define and launch go-to-market plans.
  • Coordinate with other product teams to ensure talabat Beauty is aligned with our end-to-end customer lifecycle.
  • Lead the discovery process for your squad - owning it end-to-end from problem framing to solution validation.
  • Immerse yourself in understanding Beauty shoppers - who they are, what they value, how they discover and buy, and what stands in their way.
  • Combine customer interviews, data analysis, and market insights to find and de-risk opportunities.
  • Rapidly ideate, prototype, and test solutions that help Beauty shoppers discover, decide, and re-buy with ease.
  • Define and evolve the product strategy, balancing customer love with business impact.
  • Prioritise problems and solutions based on customer needs and impact on squad KPIs.
  • Enhance and scale the core Beauty shopping experience through continuous iteration.
  • Own the roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall talabat Beauty strategy.

What you need to be successful

What did we order?

  • You're an experienced Product Manager with at least 5 years in digital product management.
  • You have successfully launched products to market, ideally including at least one 0→1 launch (new vertical, new business model, or new marketplace).
  • AI-fluent as a builder. You vibe-code prototypes to pressure-test ideas before engineering picks them up, and you leverage shared context libraries to move faster.
  • AI-fluent as a product thinker. You ship products with AI capabilities built in where it genuinely improves the experience, and you actively raise the AI literacy of the people around you.
  • Strong instinct for content, merchandising, and category navigation. You think like a category manager as much as a PM. Assortment, hero products, seasonality, and shopper missions matter to you.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity. The strategy is set; the playbook is being written. You'll need to form opinions with incomplete data and revise them when evidence demands it.
  • Resilient at influencing partner teams without authority: engineering platforms you don't own, commercial teams with their own targets, brand HQs with their own approval cycles.
  • Strong understanding of Agile product management and a solid grasp of how empowered product teams operate.
  • Demonstrated fantastic verbal and written communication skills. You easily engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and can participate fluently in technical discussions with engineers.
  • Experienced in defining solutions grounded in research and data. Confident running your own analysis, and reliant on user and stakeholder feedback to set personal objectives.
  • Strong execution discipline. You keep your team unblocked and your stakeholders informed without becoming the bottleneck. Hands-on with tools like Jira.
  • Enjoy breaking down complex problems into manageable iterations.
  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, q-commerce, or a content/discovery-heavy consumer product is a strong plus. Beauty, fashion, or lifestyle category experience is a very strong plus.
