Manager, Software Engineering (all genders) AdTech

We are looking for an Engineering Manager (all genders) to join our AdTech tribe. Contribute to the creation of our next-generation platform, that helps our partners - such as restaurants but also local shops - to scale their business. Work on our internal AdTech platform that helps our partners to promote their best dishes and attract new clients. About AdTech tribe

AdTech tribe is a fast-growing geographically distributed tribe of 10+ squads. We are here to build high-available advertisement solutions for the local delivery market. Our solutions are helping our vendors to attract and retain clients as well as helping users of our platforms to open new tastes and find new favorite dishes. Our solutions are running globally from LATAM to APAC. 

We are deploying often and moving very fast with self-sufficient cross-functional squads that work collaboratively according to the “we build it, we run it” principle. We are optimizing our solutions for high load, high availability, low latency and reliability. We are leveraging microservices architecture principles and patterns.

Your Mission

• Lead a team to design, develop, test, and deploy global scalable services used by thousands of businesses worldwide

• Hire, develop and mentor software engineers in your team

• Be a role model and subject matter expert for your team members

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership on planning, delivering and maintaining software solutions

• Initiate and/or contribute to tribe-level and global initiatives

Your heroic skills:

• 2+ years of people management experience with a key focus on modern web applications and cloud services, ideally in large-scale distributed microservice systems

• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines

• Experience with building teams from scratch as well as joining established teams as a leader

• Knowledge of some of the mentioned technologies: Python, Golang, Java, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, REST, gRPC, AWS, GCP, Datadog

• Experience in maintaining and improving stability, performance, scalability & security of the systems and services you own.

• Collaborate closely & efficiently with product management and other departments to build new products and features that match business requirements with pragmatic technical solutions with modern engineering principles.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear business focus.

• Drive quarterly and long-term objectives and key results with full responsibility for executing the OKRs.

• Experience in mentoring and growing your people and teams on a daily basis to form an excellent engineering organization and culture.

Nice to have:

• Proven track record of building and leading excellent tech teams while driving business as well.

• Experience with AWS and/or GCP as well as with Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm.

• Experience with setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI, Drone, Spinnaker).

• Familiar with common logging, monitoring, alerting tools such as Datadog, Grafana, NewRelic, Prometheus, Icinga, Kibana, etc
