About the opportunity

We are on the lookout for a Manager, Enterprise Applications Services to join our Enterprise IT Solutions team and play a pivotal role in driving our company's efficiency and productivity. You'll lead the strategic management of our core enterprise applications, fostering innovation and delivering exceptional IT experiences across all business functions. Your mission:

  • Lead the full lifecycle management of our key enterprise applications (Atlassian, Google Workspace, Slack), including evaluation, implementation, and optimisation (Tier 2/Tier 3 support for platform-related issues and requests).

  • Cultivate strong vendor relationships and drive strategic partnerships to enhance application functionality and support. Manage cost-effective licensing negotiation within strategic partners and internal cost allocation. 

  • Champion stakeholder satisfaction by ensuring seamless application delivery, proactive support, and effective change management. Maintain optimal application performance and availability, taking ownership of incident and release management processes.

  • Enforce rigorous security standards and compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies. Develop and manage the enterprise applications budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and forecasting.

  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight, providing guidance and support to a team of 6 application specialists. Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and self-service resources to enhance user experience. Ensure the “follow the sun” support model across different locations, adhering to aggressive SLAs.

  • Provide mentorship to team members, promote knowledge sharing and professional growth.


What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (5+ years in enterprise application management for organisations with 10,000+ users).

  • Proven expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and vendor management. Demonstrated experience leading and developing application delivery teams.

  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects independently.   

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.  Deep understanding of enterprise application security best practices.

  • Experience with Atlassian, Google Workspace and Slack administration and best practices.

  • Proven ability to drive Power User Community deployment and management across multiple entities at a global scale.
