Manager, Data Science - (AdTech)

We are on the lookout for a Data Science Manager to join our Adtech team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

As part of our Vendor Team, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of thousands of restaurants, shops, and local businesses. Your contributions will empower vendors with advanced tools to manage their operations, boosting their visibility and reach. Every feature you help build will create growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes, strengthening Delivery Hero’s ecosystem and impact.

This role requires a strong technical foundation in machine learning, particularly in neural networks - along with strategic thinking and leadership skills. Successful candidates will oversee the development of cutting-edge machine learning models, focusing on scalability, reliability, and real-world impact - while fostering an innovative and collaborative environment within the team.

• This role is an opportunity to shape Delivery Hero’s AI strategy and make a tangible difference in the industry and will directly manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, while collaborating with broader teams specialising in data engineering, ML engineering and product development.
• Introduce the latest advancements in neural networks, machine learning and AI - while incorporating them into Delivery Hero’s key initiatives.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of machine learning models, including deep learning architectures for pricing and recommendation systems
• Ensure state-of-the-art techniques, including transformer architectures, RNNs, CNNs, GANs, reinforcement learning are applied effectively to solve given business challenges
• Oversee feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning and model evaluation to deliver robust and high-performing solutions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning or data science, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing teams.

• Extensive experience in neural network architectures, including CNNs, RNNs, GANs, and transformer models.

• Strong programming skills in Python, with proficiency in ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras and Scikit-learn.

• Proficiency in building and deploying ML models on cloud platforms (like Google Vertex AI) and leveraging containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience in deploying real-time inference systems with latency constraints.
