This role will be based in Berlin and will report to the Regional Commercial Director for Dmarts, Europe.
About the job:
The successful candidate will manage the Category Management team in foodora & Yemeksepeti and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Your Mission;
Develop and Localise Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead the establishment and localisation of best-in-class assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies across 7 EU markets.
Drive key commercial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimise EU Profit & Loss (P&L).
Data-Driven Optimisation: Proactively identify areas for improvement within the core domain of category management, leveraging robust data analysis in assortment, pricing, promotion, and product strategies.
Assortment Growth and Rationalisation: Lead the expansion and rationalisation of product assortments within 7 EU countries by aggregating diverse data resources to deliver actionable insights, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
Best in class Pricing & Promotions: Work closely with both central and local teams to develop and drive optimal pricing & promotional strategies to maximise both profitability and customer satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with commercial, operations, product, and marketing teams at both Global, Regional and Local level to advance business planning, optimize processes, and ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
Facilitate Product Feature Roll-Out: Support the seamless roll-out of new product features across the region, aimed at enhancing business performance and operational efficiency.
Continuous Performance Monitoring: Maintain a constant track of key commercial KPIs across markets, deriving actionable insights and championing best practices to drive sustained growth and profitability across the EU region.
Leadership and Development:
Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction and operational guidance to a team of two Category Management Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
Talent Development: Support the development of team members, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute effectively to the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
Your Heroic Skills:
8+ years of experience and a proven track record of success in category management, strategic planning, and operational leadership within a multinational environment, ideally within FMCG and e-commerce.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
