Engineer II, Kotlin/JAVA - Fintech

We are looking for Engineer II, Java/Kotlin to join our Fintech team. Be part of building the financial backbone of Delivery Hero. As an Engineer II (Kotlin /Java), you will be focused on building and maintaining the core payment features that enable us to manage the lifecycle of different payment flows as well ensuring consistency and reliability of payment operations.

• Develop multi-tenant, multi-vertical payment service, used across more than 70 countries

• Craft and maintain world-class, high traffic services and APIs in a team of experienced software engineers

• Build and maintain large scale highly distributed services with high efficiency, resilience and reliability, and take part in architectural decision making.

• Participate in code reviews and application debugging and diagnosis

• Practice modern software development methodologies such as continuous delivery, TDD and scrum

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to build scalable systems enabling innovative payment experience

• Knowledge and experience in building software systems 

• Knowledge and working experience with Kotlin, Java Frameworks (Spring Boot, Ktor) and SQL databases

• Knowledge and experience in test automation topics like unit testing, integration testing etc.

• Experience in the design and implementation of APIs and design patterns

• Knowledge of secure code development principles.

• Degree in Computer Science or any related field

• Curiosity, creative outside-the-box problem solving abilities and an eye for detail

Nice to have

• Experience in the FinTech, Banking or Payment industry is a plus.

• Knowledge and experience of the AWS environment.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform.
