Engineer II - Android Developer (QuickCommerce)

We are on the lookout for a Software Engineer (Android) - Quick Commerce (all genders) to join the Pelican squad, on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. Be part of redefining how customers experience quick commerce. You’ll help build technology that scales our non-food offerings, reaching new market segments and driving revenue growth. By innovating within our Quick Commerce Team, you’ll make Delivery Hero the go-to platform for a broad range of products, helping us grow faster and deliver more value to customers around the world. Contribute to the creation of our next-generation platform that aims to provide the best tools for our partners working in supermarkets, local stores, pharmacies, and more.

Join our team and help streamline the daily operations of our partners, delivering an exceptional experience in fulfilling grocery orders efficiently and seamlessly.

• Work on a platform that helps local business around the world with their daily tasks in a seamless and efficient way.

• Make impactful decisions and take ownership of them, while demonstrating collaborative problem-solving skills.

• Ensure high code quality, testing, and engineering best practices, and overall product performance.

• Develop multi-module applications to ensure code reusability and maintainability.

• Write comprehensive unit tests and instrumental tests to ensure product quality and reliability.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment process.

• At least 3 years of experience in developing Android applications.

• Native mobile app development experience using Kotlin.

• Strong foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design).

• Solid experience with Coroutines and Flow.

• Strong understanding of Room for local data storage and caching

• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes and expertise in Unit testing.
