We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to manage and maintain our SAP systems hosted on the AWS cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically within AWS. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our SAP landscape. Good knowledge in SAP BASIS is highly advantageous.
- Design and Implement: Architect and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure SAP systems on AWS. This includes planning for compute, storage, networking, and security services.
- Administration and Maintenance: Perform routine administration, patching, and maintenance of SAP environments running on EC2 instances, leveraging services like Amazon SES, S3, SNS, SQS.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance and health of the SAP systems and underlying AWS infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Security: Implement and enforce security best practices within the AWS environment, including managing IAM roles and security groups for SAP systems.
- Automation: Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) or tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
What you need to be successful
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, VPC, S3, SES, IAM, CloudWatch, Security).
- Demonstrated experience in hosting, migrating, or managing enterprise applications on AWS.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts in AWS, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, and security groups.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Splunk).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system management.
