About the opportunity

Responsibilities: 

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth across our marketplace by: 

  • Leading the execution of strategic sales plans to onboard new vendors to the foodpanda platform. 
  • Introducing foodpanda’s suite of services and solutions to prospective partners through both in-person and virtual meetings. 
  • Building and managing a robust sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities through proactive outreach and market research. 
  • Negotiating and closing high-value deals with key partners across the F&B, FMCG, and retail sectors. 
  • Gathering and analyzing market insights to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth. 
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, and Account Management to ensure exceptional partner experiences.
  • Work closely with new vendors to grow and maximize their business on the foodpanda mall platform, troubleshooting their problems and achieving win-win results
  • Overseeing sales & account management growth in achieving business objectives;

What you need to be successful

  • 4-5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnership roles—preferably within F&B, retail, or FMCG industries. 
  • Proven track record of consistently closing deals and exceeding sales targets. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills. 
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus. 
  • Bonus: Experience in selling tech or software solutions to businesses. 
  • Experience in retail, consumer goods startups, or ecommerce industry is an absolute advantage;
