Job description
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) inspections across assigned tmart dark stores and warehouse facilities on a scheduled basis.
- Perform regular store visits to assess facility condition, identify maintenance needs, and execute corrective actions on-site.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems to minimize operational disruption.
- Coordinate with store operations teams to schedule maintenance windows with minimum impact on order fulfilment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and spare-parts inventory using the facility management system.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls and provide hands-on repair support at any assigned location.
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialist repairs; supervise and quality-check their work on-site.
- Track and report on key maintenance KPIs (MTTR, PM completion rate, energy consumption) to the Maintenance Manager.
- Support facility improvement and energy-efficiency initiatives across the tmart network.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering — required.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a facility, industrial, or logistics/warehousing environment.
- Experience maintaining dark stores, fulfilment centres, or warehouse facilities is highly preferred.
- Proven track record managing both preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems: panels, wiring, motor controls, lighting, and UPS systems.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems: HVAC, refrigeration units, conveyors, pumps, and compressors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with facility management / CMMS software is an advantage.
Other Requirements
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with store managers and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple store locations
- Flexible availability, including potential weekend or on-call support during peak periods.
