Job description
• Manage all activities for the assigned department across three shifts, ensuring seamless handovers and consistent process discipline 24/7.
• Translate high-level business objectives into actionable operational plans, identifying capacity gaps and leading scalability projects.
• Own and drive departmental KPIs (UPH, accuracy, and service levels) by setting clear targets and tracking real-time performance data.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Commercial, Procurement, and Inventory teams to align DC throughput with broader business outcomes.
• Oversee total workforce planning, including the optimization of both insourced (FTE) and outsourced staff to meet volume fluctuations.
• Lead the hiring, onboarding, and technical training for your specific department to ensure a high-performing talent bench.
• Manage and coach a team of Supervisors and frontline staff (30–50+ indirectly), focusing on succession planning and performance management.
• Drive a culture of accountability and high engagement, managing attendance and productivity metrics across all shift patterns.
• Leverage root cause analysis and data-driven insights to lead process improvement projects that eliminate waste and enhance efficiency.
• Ensure rigid standards for inventory accuracy, availability, and shrinkage control through regular audits and strict process adherence.
• Take full accountability for Health & Safety compliance, ensuring the department meets all regulatory and company environmental standards.
• Monitor departmental spend and labor allocation to drive cost-effective operations without compromising on quality or speed.
• Partner with Demand Planning to monitor stock levels, reducing waste and improving the accuracy of inbound/outbound forecasting.
• Adjust staffing and resources dynamically based on inventory flow and commercial priorities to maintain high service levels.
- More than 7 years experience of warehousing operations and start up
- Ability to accurately analyse information
- Ability to manage team members effectively
- Ability to manage processes
- Deadline-oriented
- Very good command of English
- Very good command in Microsoft applications
