We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic Accounting Department and contribute to the success of our financial operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment, supporting the organization’s accounting functions while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
As an Accounting Supervisor, you will leverage your operational expertise and technical accounting knowledge to oversee processes, manage a talented team, and drive results. In addition to supervising, you’ll take a hands-on approach to support daily operations, ensuring smooth execution of critical tasks. What you’ll do:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team.
Supervise month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Actively participate in the preparation and reconciliation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Review journal entries and ensure proper documentation and accuracy.
Oversee and contribute to account reconciliations for critical accounts (e.g., bank accounts, supplier accounts, intercompany balances).
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
Review and process payroll entries and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Review and recommend improvements to internal accounting procedures.
Provide expert guidance on Greek Accounting Standards.
Act as the main point of contact for communication with Group Accounting.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and communicate their impact to the management team.
Identify and address potential risks to ensure financial stability and compliance.
Lead projects related to the implementation of new accounting systems and tools.
Train team members on departmental processes and best practices.
Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
What you need to be successful
BA in Accounting/Economics or a similar field
Previous experience in leading a team will be mandatory
A’ Class Accountant Signature
At least 5 years of professional experience preferably in accounting & tax advisory or compliance services. Experience in retail/wholesale will be considered an asset.
Completion or final stage participation in a relevant professional qualification (ACCA, ACA) will be considered a plus
Computer literacy with Advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
