Job description
The Specialist, Rider Compensation Ops will be responsible for payroll processing (rider payouts) in an accurate and timely manner. This role will also focus on liaising with country finance and HR teams with the right output from rider pay systems to ensure accurate and timely payout .
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with rider payments team to calculate rider pay that needs to be paid out according to the payout cycles agreed with riders
- Liaise with country finance/people team to ensure rider payout happens accurately and timely
- Add/Deduct bonus/penalties that are not part of Rider pay system (Rooster)
- Write and execute basic queries for manual rules to analyse rider pay anomalies
- Improve payout process by working with rider quality/fintech teams for payment integrations and automation of manual repetitive tasks
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in HR, operations, or payment ops roles, ideally within the logistics, e-commerce, or tech industries.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to handle complex data, ensuring compliance while maintaining fairness and transparency.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including rider payments teams, People, Finance to handle payment-related issues and improve the process.
- Keen attention to detail in monitoring outliers, payment fraud, and ensuring compliance measures are enforced consistently.
- Experience with process optimization and a focus on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and risk management in the payment process
