About the opportunity

About the team
We are the team responsible for how customers pay for their orders on talabat - be it credit/ debit cards or Alternative Payments Methods (APMs). The team looks after the Commercials, Strategy and Operational aspect of Payment Acceptance for the region.
Our goal is to ensure that customers get the best experience when making payments while optimizing our cost. We work very closely with external partners (PSPs, gateways, issuers and acquirers) and internal cross functional teams such as Product & Tech, Country Teams, Finance, Legal, Customer Care etc to #makeithappen. 

What's on your menu

  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly payment performances and keep track of all the open issues.

  • Identify areas for optimisation and tackle potential issues/ bugs by working with internal and external partners such as PSPs, Acquirers, Schemes and Issuers.

  • Assist in exploring and implementing opportunities, including by not limited to Identifying market trends, customer needs, evaluating prospective partners, negotiating commercial deals

  • Project manage and roll out complex projects that drive better Payments experiences for consumers and optimize cost for the business.

  • Working in close cooperation with our Regional and Global Product & Payments Teams as well as with several other departments; 

What do you bring to the table:

  • At least 3 years working experience; preferably in the FinTech space

  • Excellent project management ability to ensure smooth rollout of complex projects

  • Ability to understand the customer needs when it comes to digital payment solutions

  • Very strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Able to take ownership, work independently if required and learn quickly in a growing team 

  • A sense of urgency, pragmatism and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
