PowerUp! SG Tech Traineeship, iOS
About the role:
At foodpanda we're on a mission to redefine how tech, food, people and culture are connected operating in 12 countries worldwide. Our team is working on big challenges and complex scalability problems as we grow 6X annually processing millions of orders a year. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative cross-functional agile squad that always includes frontend and backend engineers, design and product owners. Our squads operate in an open and fast-paced environment with very flat structures where everyone has a say.
This role is a 6 months traineeship provided by foodpanda to build the next generation of engineers through classroom & On-the-Job training to build performant and user friendly applications for iOS using Swift.

- Experience working on foodpanda's world-class technology platform and learning the day-to-day activities that power it.
- Working with a world-class team on developing impactful applications/features for millions of consumers.
- First-hand experience in contributing to large mobile application codebases
- Hands-on experience building client applications that work with complex backends

What you can bring to the table:
- Interest or experience in learning new programming languages and tools to help build, maintain and operate software services at scale
- Have a good understanding or direct experience with coding in any languages and technologies (e.g. Java, Kotlin, Python, React, Swift etc), may it be from school, bootcamps or through self-learned courses.
- Be an analytical thinker and strong problem solver with a humble, inquisitive approach
- Good command of English with ability to articulate work scope.
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills
