We are lookout for a Senior Group Accountant (All Genders) to join our Central Finance team on our journey to deliver amazing experiences.
As a Senior Group Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial reporting and accounting activities for our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of international accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The Senior Group Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial information, compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Delivery Hero Group and all its subsidiaries. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and accurate application. Provide guidance on complex accounting transactions and resolve accounting issues as they arise.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as finance, treasury, tax, and legal to gather necessary information and ensure accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with our Group auditors during annual audits and reviews.
Team Player: Provide guidance and training to junior members of the Group Accounting team. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Exciting Projects: Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process enhancements as required.
What you need to be successful
You can work either full-time or part-time.
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a strong asset.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting and financial reporting.
In-depth knowledge of international accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
Substantive experience either with consolidation, standardization and enhancement of consolidation systems or deferred taxes.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Familiarity with relevant accounting software and reporting tools.
German language skill is an advantage
