We are on the lookout for a Manager, Software Engineering, Backend - (Fintech) (all genders) to join the Fintech team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

Short description of the team & position:
 

The team is responsible for building and maintaining the core payment features that enable us to manage the lifecycle of different payment flows as well ensuring consistency and reliability of payment operations.

This role involves a fluid shift between hands-on coaching of developers and collaborative strategic planning with the relevant product owner. Your ability to operate at both tactical and operational levels will be essential for achieving team goals. 

• Your responsibilities will span across architecture, design, rollout, and operational aspects. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to develop innovative solutions that cater to customers across 50+ countries.

• Building and maintaining large scale highly distributed services with high efficiency, resilience and reliability, and taking part in architectural decision making.

• Shape and deliver the technical landscape enabling a high growth organization at scale.

• Manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables within autonomous teams.

• Understanding development lifecycle and working closely in cross-functional and international teams.

• Key player in ensuring the ongoing alignment of our technology with the overall business strategy for the domain and the company.

• Active partner in building  product towards our goals in order to provide the best value for our stakeholders and customers

• You are both highly technical and an effective people manager with the ability to adapt to new and changing environments.

• Have 8 years + of experience of developing microservices, building architecture and designing resilient distributed systems that are flexible and scalable and at least 2 years + of experience managing engineering teams.

• Knowledge of tools such as PostgreSQL, Docker, k8s and AWS are important as well as tools around telemetry and monitoring.

• Facilitate technical discussions and drive your team to the right direction while building scalable and reliable applications.

• Strong communication skills with experience working closely with business and product teams, and communicating solutions with non-technical stakeholders to solve challenges.

• Hire, develop, onboard and retain diverse talents and set them up for success, and support their growth by mentoring and caring about their well-being.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with 3rd party payment service providers, payment authentication flows.

• Having experience in Java or Kotlin (Spring Boot, Ktor)

• Experience in complying with financial regulations and industry standards (ex: PCIDSS).
