About the opportunity

Role Summary/ Overview

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing procurement operations in Egypt, ensuring strategic sourcing, vendor relationships, and cost control while ensuring procurement stability in a complex and high-value market. The role involves optimizing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and aligning procurement activities with business objectives. The Procurement Manager will manage both CAPEX and OPEX procurement, implementing a structured procurement approach that supports financial efficiency, risk mitigation, and scalable processes to facilitate business growth and operational excellence.

  • Assess and enhance procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency in a volatile market.

  • Manage procurement risks related to EGP currency fluctuations, ensuring cost control and contract stability.

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through a structured approach to negotiations, supplier agreements, and tenders.

  • Ensure full compliance with procurement policies.

  • Strengthen localized sourcing to enhance the supplier base and ensure supply chain resilience.

  • Identify and develop direct relationships with manufacturers to reduce reliance on trading companies, securing better pricing, quality control, and supply chain efficiency.

  • Negotiate high-value contracts and manage tendering processes to maintain cost stability and procurement efficiency.

  • Ensure procurement operations are scalable to support business expansion and CAPEX investments.

  • Oversee procurement across multiple categories, including Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Facilities, and Real Estate.

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals.

  • Provide input on vendor performance management and procurement process improvements.

  • Monitor market trends, supplier risks, and economic factors to adjust procurement strategies proactively.

  • Prepare and present procurement reports, cost analyses, savings etc.,  and performance reviews.

  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and renegotiation opportunities.

  • Proactively address procurement challenges, ensuring risk mitigation and operational efficiency.

  • Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business environment, continuously refining procurement strategies to meet changing needs.


What you need to be successful

What Did We Order?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.

  • 6–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior procurement role.

  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to secure strategic vendor agreements.

  • Strong experience in CAPEX and OPEX procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (MSD365, SAP, Oracle or similar) and data-driven procurement decision-making.

  • Project management experience, particularly in procurement process optimization, automation, and cost control.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and vendor stakeholder management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret procurement data and market trends.

  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in contracts, procurement planning, and financial reporting.
