We are on the lookout for a CEE Public Relations Lead to join the foodora Communications and Public Affairs team on our journey to always deliver fast, affordable amazing experiences.
This is a key role designed for a self-starter, offering lots of responsibility and opportunities to create a significant impact. You will act as an advisor to the local management team, shaping the public narrative for growing business. You will be instrumental in protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation and increasing its share of voice against competitors across Central and Eastern Europe (Austria, Hungary, and Czechia). The role is based in Prague with occasional travel to the other countries you manage.
Lead the planning and execution of operational PR campaigns for Czechia, Austria and Hungary, aligning them with regional and local priorities.
Work closely with the regional team to align strategy and messaging.
Manage local PR agencies, providing clear briefs, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring execution aligns with mandates.
Direct issues and crisis management, including monitoring reputational risks, preparing crisis mitigation plans, and ensuring timely coordination and escalation.
Brief spokespeople, preparing them with talking points, Q&As, and content for interviews, speeches, panels, and LinkedIn thought leadership.
Track and report media coverage, KPIs, and campaign results across the three markets to inform ongoing strategy.
Ensure brand and narrative consistency across all external communications touchpoints, working closely with Legal, Public Affairs, and other departments.
8-10 years of relevant professional experience, with a proven track record in both PR agency and in-house roles.
Fluency in English is required, plus proficiency in at least one local language from the cluster (Czech, German, or Hungarian).
Familiarity with digital platforms, the delivery industry, and its current challenges is a plus.
Experience operating in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
Experience working internationally and across multiple countries is highly preferable.
Familiarity with systems like Slack, GSuite, and modern AI/LLM tools (e.g., Gemini, NotebookLM).
A structured and solution-oriented approach to campaign and crisis management as well as excellent prioritization ability and a business-minded approach to public relations.
