Our Sales team operates under the Commercial Department, which allows you to create a massive connection with all F&B outlets in Hong Kong, building relationships with vendors and bringing them onboard to this exciting platform to further grow their businesses!

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will form part of the department’s leadership team, helping shape the commercial strategy of foodpanda. You will work on bringing Hong Kong’s best restaurants to foodpanda and will lead a team of Sales Coordinators, Sales Executives and Sales Managers, seeking to grow foodpanda’s business by formulating our sales  strategy, motivating your team to achieve & exceed sales targets and securing important deals out in the field. Your tasks will include:
 

  • Drive sales strategy and related projects: develop the overall strategy for sales, performance forecast and target achievement; collaborate with regional and internal teams to launch and execute new sales activities/policies/processes/product launches to sustain continuous pipeline of prospects and flow of sales

  • Manage the department: guide and motivate the team to attain and exceed monthly and quarterly individual and team sales targets, manage team KPI schemes, identify targeted growth areas for direct reportees and provide guidance for improvement

  • Lead by example: step in when and where needed to pitch, negotiate, and ultimately close deals for the team with a high level of expertise, professionalism and service

  • Maintain internal operational excellence: direct the team to ensure portfolio compliance with business operational standards, optimize and streamline workflow when necessary

  • Able to build strong rapport and effectively convince C-level executives

  • Willing to roll up their sleeves and work hands-on with the sales team on the ground

  • The ideal candidate will be able to train the team with practical sales knowledge, and be agile and flexible to cater to the ever-changing market needs.

  • HoS will also be responsible for ensuring the team follows the company's SOPs.

  • Additionally, the sales professional should be creative and think outside the box to solve problems effectively.


What you need to be successful

  • 6-10 years’ experience in sales-related field

  • Prior eCommerce, technology, or F&B experience is highly valued

  • Proven leadership ability to motivate and execute within an aggressive sales quota environment to meet both short- and long-term business objectives

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both external vendors and internal (regional/global/local) stakeholders across departments

  • Track record of solid data analysis, understanding sales numbers and monitoring & reporting daily metrics

  • Experience of Salesforce, PPT and Excel
