Engineering Manager - Quick Commerce, Ads Data Management Platform

Your Mission:

• Lead a cross-functional team of Backend and Frontend engineers, fostering an inclusive and innovative work environment.

• Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap for your team.

• Ensure the development and maintenance of scalable, reliable services that support the processing of large volumes of data, making it easily accessible and usable.

• Drive technical excellence, pushing for the adoption of best practices in software development and data management.

• Serve as a mentor and coach to team members, supporting their growth and professional development.

• Manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, applying insights to continually improve our platform and processes.

• Last but not least, you are not afraid to contribute and make an impact in a global, fast-moving tech organisation.

Your Heroic Skills:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a technical team, ideally in a fast-paced tech or startup environment.

• Strong background in software development, with hands-on experience in both backend (Golang, Python) and frontend (React) technologies.

• Ability to design architecture that works at our scale, in terms of performance and complexity.

• Experience with data management platforms, including knowledge of data processing, storage, and analytics tools.

• Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems

• You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and disciplined experimentation.

• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions and deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and pragmatic approach to overcoming challenges.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and disciplines.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. 

• A passion for technology, data, and its potential to drive business success.

• Willingness to work in an international environment and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Nice to Have:

• Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

• Familiar with common CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Drone, and Spinnaker.

• Familiar with standard monitoring/alerting / logging tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, ELK stack, distributed tracing
