We are looking for a Director, Workplace Solutions/Workplace Services (All genders) to lead the Workplace Solutions, Facility Services and Workplace Experience on our journey to always delivering amazing experiences.

Your mission

  • Support Workplace Strategy process improvement through KPI creation, overseeing processes associated with corporate real estate functions, including but not limited to, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, design, planning, and overall workplace experience of the Delivery Hero Campus.

  • Provide inspiring leadership with oversight over the maintenance & operations of facilities, deliveries hub, welcome team, community & experience team.

  • Drive Workplace design and solutions to deliver on the portfolio optimization.

  • Prepare both the strategic and tactical plans for future workplaces: acquisition, lease, use, remodel, repair, maintenance and disposition of real estate assets.

  • Follow the design and architecture standards for global office buildings which include best practices on workplace branding, furniture, meeting room tech, smart office solutions & booking apps and monitor the use and continuously help update Global Workplace Guidelines. 

  • Control capital and expense budgets related to leases, building construction and operations, furniture, business unit initiatives and general portfolio optimization

  • Consult operational solutions and budgets after the project handover.

  • Perform economic analyses to justify the expenditure of capital and expense for all aspects of the operation of the portfolio.

  • Research, recommend and implement new tools and methods to improve employee workplaces, building infrastructure and/or the financing of specific properties.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts and leases and engage and direct the work of architects, engineers, real estate brokers, property managers and/or consultants.

  • Collaborate and contribute with our legal and real estate  procurement team and consultants to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

  • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders such as people & culture teams, IT, real estate procurement and legal.

  • Feasibility and needs analysis - real estate impact analysis on corporate performance.

  • Optimization of work style and workplace relationship - adoption of flexible way of working

  • Workplace research and strategy - evaluation of current workplace from multi facets, and building future workplace strategy

  • Change management - training and educating employees about new ways of working, aligning business leaders to adopt change, and evaluating the effect of the workplace on performance.


What you need to be successful

  • Experienced in working in and delivering workplace solutions and strategies, within a corporate environment.

  • Degree in Architecture, Building Science, or Engineering (Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical, Real Estate) and/or 10 years or more experience in the field.

  • Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong familiarity with building system operations.

  • Experience in managing service providers and vendors to provide solutions.

  • Negotiation experience in all aspects of real estate, construction and facilities contracts.

  • Experienced in leading big office construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of latest office design and workplace trends.

  • Understanding of the future of the workplace post-COVID and the ability to have a forward-thinking approach.

  • Excellent people, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Experienced in governance and relationship management of workplace supply partners.

  • Ability to understand Workplace behaviours.

  • German language skills to a professional standard.
