Counsel, Legal and Government Affairs

• Support our businesses with legal advice on a broad range of operational and business matters spanning corporate, intellectual property, employment, privacy, competition, and consumer law and obtain necessary licenses (if any)

• Advise, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts with third parties such as marketing partners, suppliers, and restaurants

• Manage litigation and investigations that may arise from time to time

• Instruct external law firms and external counsel as required

• Collaborate with our legal teams in Cambodia and APAC to ensure standardization and alignment on legal matters

• Manage corporate secretarial matters, including drafting resolutions and minutes of meeting

• Localizing and implementing the internal policies with the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team

• Bachelor’s degree / MA degree from Law or other relevant 

• At least 3 to 5 years of work experience in operations, consulting or a high growth start-up from FMCG, Retail Business or other related 

• System required such as Computer Skills MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Google Drive, Workday, excels, G suite, Data is a plus.

• Background in commercial law with reputable law firms or as an in-house counsel, ideally with e-commerce or internet companies.

• Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/technology environments will be an advantage.

• Commercially astute, highly driven and pragmatic, with strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
