Our Quick Commerce team is currently looking for an Area Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation of HUBs and ensure operational efficiency, foster employee development, enhance customer satisfaction, optimize costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role focuses on optimizing store performance by monitoring key metrics such as productivity, inventory management, and customer service.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of HUBs, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies
  • Monitor store performance metrics (productivity, inventory management, and customer service levels) & develop action plans to address areas of improvement
  • Monitor staffing and scheduling to ensure resources and meet operational demands during all shifts
  • Ensure proper equipment, infrastructure, and facilities maintenance for appropriate safety and functionality
  • Supervises the implementation of hygiene, sanitation, security, and safety standards to maintain a high level of customer service
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures to improve overall profitability
  • Oversee inventory control processes to minimize shrinkage and ensure optimal stock levels and inventory accuracy
  • Collaborate with supply chain to effectively manage product assortments and promotions
  • Provides guidance, support, and coaching to store managers to develop employees and enhance performance
  • Monitors any grievance issues raised by store managers to resolve issues fairly and timely
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director Quick Commerce to develop and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in grocery management or retail operations
  • Proven experience in retail operations
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Office & Microsoft Office Suite in general
  • Good understanding of software development processes and related tools
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems & of safety, sanitation, and security standards in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral)
  • Systematic, structured and detail-oriented mindset: someone who knows how to prioritize, delivers solutions and overcomes bottlenecks
  • Strong communication skills, high sense of urgency, responsibility and ownership
